Oh at least she is not looking like she is in the midst of an orgasm, she’s ok. I don’t mind a nice nude statue. One of the best, I think, is in Ostend, Belgium.

Mammals are fish, and mermaids are mammals. That is why they have both fish tails and boobs.

Also, it is hilarious that sexualized nudity is fine when it is furniture and art, but some sexy pics of a random person doing the same pose is smut.

That’s so wonderfully tacky. I kind of love it. It needs to be in a room that has a circular bed that slowly rotates, and has mirrors on the ceiling. Oh, and a hot tub, right next to the bed.

I think the table looks fine? Good even.

The thing I have a problem with is that sofa. I think anything to sit on should be comfortable. And these look anything but. My girlfriend wanted similar ones and I fought her tooth and nails to get something to sit and lay on without my back pain worsening.

That’s not a sofa—not in the way we think of sofas now. This is a 3-person chair. It’s not for lounging, like a modern sofa, it’s for sitting.

These sofas can be really comfortable. if well refurbished. if the cushions are made properly, they are quite hard. so it is not like the one i have: to slouch on. but comfortable to sit, talk, have a tea. it all depends on what you want out of your room. but to me the purpose seems to fit the vibe.

My dad had a 1inch thick glass kitchen table. Practically indestructible. The crappy light fixture above it, weighing 20lbs, failed and free-falls 6ft. Nothing. I never found out what the technical breaking limits were on that specific table, but later decided to dispose of it. It took 6 men to get it outside onto the flat driveway. And about 10 minutes of all guys pounding the damn thing edge-on with sledgehammers to finally get it to safely shatter.

It’s not even a very big house. It looks maybe 40’ or so wide and somewhat less deep, so I’m guessing it’s maybe 3000 sq. ft. total. I would almost hesitate to even bestow the status of ‘McMansion’ on it.

I hate columns like that. Everything else is kind of a (bad) choice, but those columns are just objectively wrong because masonry doesn’t work like that.

I’m sure they are. They have to be, unless they’re steel inside instead (which is unlikely), because you can’t make real stacked-stone masonry that skinny and have it be stable.

And that’s my problem with it: it’s fraudulent. Not even in an intentional “flouting the rules to make a modernist point” kind of way either; just out of ignorant and lazy design.
